From Wasserauen, hike along the Schwendebach valley inward and climb up to Seealpsee. At the end of the lake, the path leads left up through beautiful mixed forest to the rock bands at Unterstrich. Shortly after, you reach the idyllic little alpine village Meglisalp.
The further path leads quite steeply up towards the southeast to Bötzelsattel and from there almost at the same height over to Widderalpsattel. The descent over the Widderalp is pleasant. Before the forest, turn right and you reach Stiefelfelsen. Along this, you climb briefly and are then surprised by a unique view: nestled between steep rock faces, Fälensee shimmers. Then you are already at the mountain inn Bollenwees.
Downhill, you follow a good path over the Alp Furgglen and through the mountain forest to Sämtisersee. As with Fälensee, no outflow is visible here either, as the water of both lakes flows underground and resurfaces in the Rhine valley. After a short uphill section to the mountain inn Plattenbödeli, it goes steeply down through the Brültobel, past the Hexenwäldli, down to Brülisau.
