Thiesenring Bad Berneck
The Thiesenring takes us to numerous vantage points, historic sites and nature reserves, allowing us to discover nature and history at the same time.
The circular trail, which is quite demanding in terms of fitness, starts in the spa town of Bad Berneck in the Fichtelgebirge and is very entertaining due to the many stops and the scenic change from forests and clearings, ascents and descents. 23 thematic panels on landscape, nature and history accompany us on our circular route and the QR codes on the panels provide us with even more information. The Thiesenring was named after Carl Thiesen, a gentleman and honorary citizen of Bad Berneck. The path can be walked in both directions, as no particular order has to be followed with regard to the thematic panels. The Thiesenring can be extended by numerous detours and variants, but can also be shortened due to its proximity to the city.
