The Thiesenring leads us to numerous viewpoints, historic sites, and natural treasures, allowing us to discover nature and history at the same time.
The physically quite demanding circular hiking trail starts in the spa town of Bad Berneck in the Fichtelgebirge and is very varied due to the many stations and the landscape changing between forests and clearings, ascents and descents. 23 themed panels on landscape, nature, and history accompany us on our round trail, and the QR codes on the panels provide us with further information. The Thiesenring was named after Carl Thiesen, patron and honorary citizen of Bad Berneck. The trail can be walked in both directions, as no specific order needs to be followed with regard to the themed panels. The Thiesenring can be extended by numerous detours and variants but can also be shortened due to its proximity to the town.
