The themed trail "Forest Secrets Badsteig" was opened at the beginning of December 2025 and has already delighted many visitors. You meet families, adults, but also joggers on the Badsteig who are enthusiastic about the special atmosphere at dusk. Above all, the glowing forest animals in the style of the Lumagica light parks create a special atmosphere, fitting for the Christmas season. Additionally, there is the story of the forest gnome Ferlix and the Venediger doll Aurelio - the two discover the educational secrets of the forest together.

    Tips and suggestions

The name Badsteig comes from the former forest bath that existed in the area of the trail from about 1929 to 1972. The Badsteig basically follows a forest path that carries water in the summer.

    Roadbook

From the roundabout in Pfunds (parking lot & bus stop), you walk west of the Radurschl stream through the village, ascending southwards towards the edge of the forest, thus reaching the actual start of the Badsteig (approx. 600 m). There is a first sculpture, a hare that is illuminated. Now you follow the Badsteig, actually a forest path and accordingly flat, through the woods. Along the way, you can see some illuminated figures (very atmospheric at the beginning of dusk) and several forest secret stations with the gnome Ferlix and the Venediger doll Aurelio. The themed trail is 700 m long and ends at a treehouse, which is surrounded by numerous figures and is a wonderful playground for children. You could now descend directly to the field via a path and walk back, or you continue following the Badsteig towards Kajetansbrücke. In this case, at the end of the Badsteig, you reach the fields, and this is the turning point, and you walk back to Pfunds along the wide field path.
