A trek through chestnut woods, clearings, and breathtaking panoramas... in search of the inhabitants of dusk: the owls.
Parking is at the entrance of the village of Venaus, near the statue of a large deer. From the road you can directly enter the Owl Path, which gently rises through wooded areas and meadows, or enter the village by walking along Via Roma and, after the parish church, turn left on Via Perosa and then left again on Via Giaglione, rejoining the classic route. After the hairpin bend on Via Giaglione on the road, return to the woods and continue the ascent until you reach the connecting road between the villages of Venaus and Giaglione. Cross it and continue with a series of four hairpin bends plus another two about 700 meters further. You then reach the Titabò Chapel (where the lower Owl Path ends) and continue until you intersect the paved road leading to the village of Ferrera Cenisio, proceed in the woods for a few hundred meters until you reach the hamlet of Bar Cenisio, the end point of the excursion.
