If the oaks that inspired the village's name still grow there, the train that once passed through has disappeared.
Hike starting from the parking lot, opposite the Beauquesne cemetery. Village where you can find the 13th-century Saint-Jean-Baptiste church and its nave from the early 20th century, as well as the feudal castle mound. Head towards Terramesnil and its Saint-Pierre church from 1860 (stations of the cross stained glass). Also its war memorial surrounded by shells and its Notre-Dame du Bon Secours wayside shrine of 1857. Further on, in the plain until the 1950s, flax was retted while the local short train struggled to connect Albert to Doullens. Of this relic from the past, only the old station remains. It is possible to reach Beauquesne via the Preux valley, otherwise continue the path to complete the loop and return to Beauquesne.
