The Sentiero di San Vili and the Sentiero Corno
This itinerary was designed at the beginning starting in the inhabited area of Sardagna and arriving in Vaneze via the SAT path n. 645 and the forest path 1 "sentiero Corno". After the presentation of the new book on the "San Vili" route, it was decided to add the beginning of the so-called "percorso basso" of the above-mentioned "San Vili", which at times is part of other routes in the book. Therefore, you start in the heart of Trento in Piazza del Duomo, praised by many (Trentino residents and not) as one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. The rear Piazzetta d'Arogno houses in its narrow garden the statue of the one who gives this path its name and meaning. The path leads, in 6 stages, to Madonna di Campiglio if walked in its entirety. The statue is by the non-sculptor Zuech (1877-1968).
From Piazza d'Arogno, which flanks the beautiful entrance to Via Verdi, cross the square and stay on the left. Turn into Via Cavour and cross the square of the same name at the height of the impressive Council Church of S. Maria Maggiore. At the traffic lights, cross Via Rosmini and turn left into Via S. Margherita. Pass through the gate of the same name and go straight on into Via Canestrini, which leads through the underpass behind the railway. Once you are near the cable car station (you can, of course, take the opportunity to go up to Sardagna with a simple bus ticket), you cross the S. Lorenzo bridge, where the signs of the Santo Patrono can still be seen in a red limestone bas-relief. After crossing the historic bridge, turn immediately right. On the pavement lined with B&Bs (there are 66 B&Bs) in via Marco Apuleio, follow the splendid church of S. Apollinare of the XII-XIV centuries on the left for a few hundred metres up the Adige to the Ponte di San Giorgio. . Then follow
