The Kolfuschg high trail

Ascent: From Kolfuschg (1615 m) on the wide path 4 moderately steep through the pretty Edelweißtal up to the Edelweiß Hut (1824 m; guesthouse), at the fork turn left on the wide path up to the Forceles Hut (open in summer) and to the eponymous terrain shoulder (2101 m); 1½ hours. High route: Then on the initially wide, later only narrow high trail (marking 8) first slightly downhill and then mostly more or less flat in a beautiful hike through grassy slopes, smaller groves and once through a small rockfall area westwards until the Grödner Joch (2121 m; catering establishments); from Forceles 1½ hours. Descent: From the pass on the mostly away from the road trail 650 over grassy terrain in about 1 hour down and back to Kolfuschg.
