Varied circular route with the following highlights: Kannstein cliffs with great views and steep rocky slopes, former quarry area with dry grassland vegetation, Lönsturm with great views over the Weserbergland.
The route mostly runs on footpaths or small forest trails. Along the way, there are good opportunities for a picnic, e.g. at the Lönsturm or at the forest edge above Thüste.

The starting point is the hiking car park at Felsenkellerweg. Alternatively, you can also park in the town center next to the church, but then you first have to climb some stairs towards the elementary school.
At the first junction after the Lönsturm, it is better to go straight ahead in midsummer because the path further north can be overgrown.
