At Pont des Lanternes, follow the sign for the "Les Gures" hiking trail.
Two parallel paths, which meet higher up, lead to the main point of interest: the summit of the site, once frequented by the first Celtic tribes. This loop can be walked in either direction.
The climb is fairly short, but includes some rather steep sections. It takes you gradually up to the south-western cliff of the Gures massif. At the top, you'll discover a Laby stone and a particularly impressive 360° panorama.
Take time to admire the panorama of the upper Arve valley, the Fiz mountain range and, at your back, the Aiguille du Midi.
The return journey takes the same route, but if possible take the alternative route you didn't take on the outward journey.
The trail also runs alongside the ruins of fortifications and a number of partially buried Celtic remains. Fragments of ancient pottery have also been found on the site.
