The Eaucourt Mill

Country walk around a mill that, having nearly fallen into oblivion, has regained its former appearance and life. From the parking lot, follow the road towards the Somme. Take the path surrounding the Rouissoir, where flax stems were soaked in the water of these ditches to be retted. Then pass through the ruins of the castle of which only the drawbridge gate, remains of towers, and walls remain today. These remains are already the subject of cultural activities. Cross the village before taking the path that will lead you to gain altitude. Follow it to the mill path. Observe this 17th-century windmill located at 98 meters altitude that ground grain until 1919, before descending back to the starting point.
