Be careful on the stairs of the Devil's Bridge as they can be slippery when wet, and watch out for crossing the ford between 5 and 1 during rain.Roadbook
- At the "Dournon" post, follow the D 229 southeast for 500 m. Take the "Chemin des Lézines" (road) to the left for 500 m.
- At the fork, continue left on the forest road, ignoring paths to the right and left, for 3.7 km. It crosses the Ourcière valley. Continue on D 229 for 20 m, then climb the path to the right.
- Take the D 103 to the left towards Crouzet-Migette. At the village entrance, turn left onto the rue du Pont-du-Diable, then right onto rue de la Tioupe. At the crossing, turn left twice and continue towards the equestrian farm, rue des Terrasses, on a road that becomes a stony path.
- At the wide right bend, go straight into the meadow through the chained gate and follow the hedge to the exit. The path descends to the Devil's Bridge parking [> access to the waterfall via the stairs to the left (> slippery steps!) ; view of the bridge sculpture]. Cross the bridge and follow D 229 to the right curve. Turn left, then stay right on the path.
- At the crossroads, climb the path to the right for 250 m and turn left. The path goes through the forest. Ignore side paths and keep southwest direction. At the end, the path turns left. Cross the ford (> if the ford is impassable, follow the channel to the village entrance), then follow the rocky road to the right. It leads back to the village. Find the parking on the right.

The Legend of the Devil's Bridge
Located at the border of the Jura and Doubs departments, the Devil's Bridge spans the Ourcière at more than 80 meters high. It connects the villages of Dournon to Crouzet-Migette via Sainte-Anne. From the top of the railings, one can see the deep gorges of the river. After descending a staircase, the devil's carved head appears just under the bridge. The jagged rocks enhance the eerie atmosphere linked to the diabolic legend: "Barely built, the bridge collapsed. The mason tried again, in vain. Then the devil offered to rebuild it on condition that the soul of the first passerby belonged to him. The mason agreed to the deal. The bridge was magnificent. But, overcome with remorse, the mason in his delirium called for a priest. The priest hurriedly crossed the bridge first. The devil rushed to claim his due, but dazzled by the shining of the ciborium, he jumped over the parapet and fell into the void."
