The starting point of this long hike is the Rosenalp; from here we hike to the Staufen until the valley station of the Hündlebahn is visible on the south side. Past the parking lot on the left, a wonderful path leads along the Konstanzer Ach. We follow the signs to Thalkirchdorf. In the distance, the church tower of Thalkirchdorf can already be seen. Nearby is the "Dorfhaus" – our place to stop. We enjoy the rustic atmosphere and treat ourselves.
We then go under the B308. Between the houses of Lamprechts, we keep straight ahead. After crossing the Oberstaufen-Immenstadt railway line, we turn left. Now straight ahead, passing the chapel of St. Georg, we reach the village of Salmas. Behind the village, the route leads us past Knechtenhofen at the Bauernhausmuseum. From there, it goes straight ahead to the small village of Wengen. Through the village for a short stretch along the Staufen, we turn right and return to Rosenalp.

The starting point of the long Thal route is the Rosenalp, from where we hike towards Staufen to the parking lot of the Hündle valley station. The path starting at the end of the parking lot leads us in a left curve to the Konstanzer Ach. We always stay on the right of the stream until we reach a bridge at a crossing street. Here we turn right and follow the street towards Thalkirchdorf. On the route is the Schwandlift parking lot. The village street brings us in a left curve to the Dorfhaus Thalkirchdorf, where we stop and can enjoy the rustic interior atmosphere.
We continue our way northward and go under the B308. Between the houses of Lamprechts, we keep straight ahead. After crossing the Oberstaufen-Immenstadt railway line, we turn left. Now straight ahead, passing the chapel of St. Georg we reach the village of Salmas. Behind the village, the route – still right above the railway line – leads to Knechtenhofen past the Bauernhausmuseum. From Knechtenhofen, it goes straight ahead to the Miniwelt Oberstaufen area. Through the small village of Wengen, we hike straight ahead, keep left and reach Oberstaufen. A short stretch along the Staufen, we turn right and return to Rosenalp.
