On our circular route, we have views of Cape Town, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding landscape. The distinctive, pointed Lion's Head (669 m high) immediately catches our eye when looking towards the city. On clear days, we can see up to the Twelve Apostles, located 70 km away, stretching along the coast to the southwest. Before starting the route, we begin with a unique cable car ride. Up to 800 people can be transported per hour, as the rotating cabins can hold about 65 visitors. Additionally, on each ride, a cabin attendant accompanies us, providing interesting information. During our hike, we can admire the blooming plant diversity of the South African fynbos. Many of the plants are endemic and grow only in this area. Because of its frequent occurrence, the king protea has been declared South Africa's national flower.
