Hiking on the volcano: from the second highest summit of the nature park, past the trout ponds and the lushly blooming forest meadows in spring and summer, over the Gackerstein into the Eichelbach valley. Halfway through, a guesthouse with good cuisine (game weeks in October) invites you to rest. All summits are excellent viewpoints. Highlights are the magnificent view from Schottenblick westward into the Nidda valley and the almost 360° panoramic view from the Platte (before the descent to Busenborn). Over the striking Bilstein with fantastic views to the Taunus and the Frankfurt skyline back to the Hoherodskopf.
