Key for the observation tower in Eckartshausen at Mrs. Bühler, Sommerberg 28 (via Raiffeisenstr.), Tel. 07904/2 04, about 10 minutes from the station.
The hike initially leads through the species-rich mixed forest on the Burgberg and reaches the Burgberg Tower, one of the best viewpoints in the Hohenlohe region. The view extends from the Frankenhöhe over the Ellwanger Mountains to the Swabian Jura with the adjoining Kaiserberge. Beyond are the Swabian Forest and the Hohenlohe Plain. Panels explain the details. The return path passes the protected Pfaffenweiher biotope and a biotope with dragonflies.
