Blauen - Blattepass - Pfeffingen
The starting point of this hike is the Blauen village square Post bus stop. Passing the fountain and community center, we follow the yellow hiking trail signs and soon reach the end of the settlement area. In the following Oberfeld, extensive orchards with many beautiful tall trees accompany us on the left side. Behind them lie the species-rich nutrient-poor meadows of the Blauenweide, a natural site of national importance. On the right side opens a wide view over the Laufental and Schwarzbubenland up to the Jura chains with the Hohe Winde. After a short stretch of forest, we reach the barbecue area on the Blattepass. In addition to barbecue spots, a small shelter, and play areas for children, we find as a special attraction a giant bench. Strengthened, we continue our hike on the small road to the left of the forest strip because the marked hiking trail is not suitable for strollers. We leave the small road only after the pronounced S-curve above Pfeffingen following a short stretch of forest again. On the Hangelimattweg we walk towards Pfeffingen ruin. Shortly after, the hiking trail branches off to the right. We stay on the steep small road. In the left curve, we continue straight on Mergelweg. Only at the bench do we continue the descent into the village center of Pfeffingen.
