The name "Stoakogler Heimatweg" explains the thematic content of this tour. The hiking trail leads past the farms of the Stoakogler brothers, explaining and describing personal and interesting facts about the internationally successful folk music trio from Gasen with information boards and the "Stoani Weltturm". The hike itself is extremely impressive, regardless of the thematic content. The picturesque village of Gasen is a great starting point with its traditional inns. The circular hike is very well marked and signposted, and numerous rest stops invite you to linger and enjoy. On warm summer days, the beautifully designed Kneipp facility is a welcome opportunity to cool off. The entire hike leads up and down over meadows and through forests, offering numerous views of the cultivated landscape around Gasen.
The clearly recognizable start of the hiking trail in Gasen, 837 m, is located in the immediate vicinity of Gasthof Grabenbauer and just a few metres from the "Stoani Haus der Musik". The trail immediately climbs steeply uphill so that we can enjoy the view of Gasen after just a few meters. Numerous information boards line the first part of the trail. We soon reach the forest, where we continue on forest roads and narrow hiking trails at a more leisurely pace. After approx. 1.5 km, we come to a wooden bridge and immediately afterwards to a meadow, where we hike diagonally uphill, taking our bearings from a high seat. Once there, we keep left, come to a road and follow this again to the left to the farm with the vulgar name Haberl, 1058 m. After this beautiful old farm, we walk slightly uphill along the road, past the information board "Blick zum vulgo Grobnbauer" to the crossroads "Dorf Gasen - Haberlstall - Straßegg Wirt". Here we follow the signposts for the Stoakogler Heimatweg,
