Brettljause at the Tauernkarleitenalm and be sure to ask the hut keeper "Michi" about his "Radstädter cheese" produced on the alm, and above all, taste it.

    Roadbook

The starting point of this scenic mountain route is the Vorder Gnadenalm, about 4 km below Obertauern. The path initially leads leisurely over alpine meadows and bright larch forests to the rustic Tauernkarleitenalm – an idyllic place for a short break and the first view into the valley.

From the alm, the trail becomes increasingly alpine and demanding. The well-marked path winds up in switchbacks to the Steinfeldspitze (2,344 m). Upon reaching the summit, a fantastic panoramic view opens up of the Radstädter Tauern, the Seekarspitz ridge, and far down into the valley of the Gnadenalm.

The descent follows the same way back – with the possibility of a comfortable rest at the alm.
