Steinberg observatory route

From the parking lot at Rohrbacherhof we follow the sidewalk along the L382 (Steinbergstraße) towards Steinberg for about 500m. After the bridge over the Rohrbach we hike right over a driveway through the forest up to Premesbergweg. After about 200m on Premesbergweg we then turn left into Oberbergweg and follow this shortly to the waste collection point, then hike right down the field path to Oberberggraben where we join the Mostwanderweg No.3. We follow this up to the Mostbuschenschank Mausser Most, from there it goes about 200m along L301 and then turn left at the Steinberschleife sign. We follow this path to Steinberg where we cross the L382 and head towards Anton Afritsch children's village (path 31). At the children's village we leave path 31 again and hike right up to the Johannes Kepler public observatory. We continue over the Forstkogel (621m) and meet hiking path No.31 again, which we follow to the paved municipal road. After 20m on the municipal road we turn sharply left into a forest path and follow it about 600m slightly downhill to the access road of a riding stable. Here we hike along hiking path No.34 down to the Plankenwarther municipal road.

Here one could also make a detour to the Plankenwarther castle pond.

Now it goes about 1.9km on the municipal road back to Rohrbacherhof.
