Starting from Steibis, an ascent first takes us over the Imberg-Alpe to the Imberghaus, which lies in the middle of a beautiful hiking area at the foot of the Nagelfluh chain. In the further course of the tour, we follow the alpine experience trail, which leads us past numerous managed alpine pastures, through woods, meadows, and high moors. Over the summit of the Fluh and the Fluh-Alpe inn we return to Steibis.

We begin our hike in the town centre of Steibis and first go uphill in southwestern direction on the narrow street "Am Gemsholz", passing the sports shop "Sport Hauber". Before the toll station, we take the asphalt road leading downhill to the left and walk past the golf restaurant to the valley station of the Imbergbahn. Those who want to shorten the tour can use the cable car for the ascent here. Otherwise, behind the Café Auwinkel, we follow the gravel path that leads upwards in switchbacks to the left of the cable car, over the Imberg-Alpe (1) to the Imberghaus. From the Imberghaus (2), which is located at 1218 m beside the upper station of the Imbergbahn, we hike about 200 m westwards to a fork. Here we turn left to the mountain inn Hochbühl. At the next fork, we leave the path to the right and follow the hillside trail above the inn over the Alpe Häuslers Gschwend to the Alpe Glutschwanden. Here we can stop for refreshments in the cozy hut parlor or on the sun terrace. At the alpine pasture we enjoy a wonderful view over the moor of the high plateau to the Nagelfluh chain. In the further course, we continue straight on the alpine experience trail to the Moosalpe (3), which is already located on Austrian territory. This hut at 1230 m also offers a sun terrace and homemade cakes. From the alpine pasture, we take the marked hike path uphill to the Steinernes Tor and further right along the ridge eastwards to the height of the nearly 1400 m high Fluh. From the summit, we pass the Fluh chairlift located on our left and follow the path straight downhill. At the next fork, we turn sharply left towards the Fluh-Alpe inn. From the inn, we hike comfortably downhill on the wide alpine path to the Waltners-Alpe (4). Here we can stop once more before following the alpine path back to the starting point of our tour in Steibis.
