Beautiful round trip of just under 10km around the Echinger Stauweiher. Especially bird lovers will fully enjoy it, as the reservoir is one of the most important waterfowl conservation areas in Bavaria.

At Stauweiherstraße in Eching there is a small parking lot by the roadside from which you can start the reservoir round trip. Directly along the water we head west, soon the asphalt road becomes a gravel road. Along the way there are information boards and a viewing platform. From here you can observe the species-rich birdlife particularly well. After almost 3km we reach a bridge, over which we cross to the other side of the Isar Canal. At the end of the bridge we turn right and head east again. We follow the path on the dam, constantly keeping the reservoir in view. After another good 3km we are directly opposite the church in Eching. After a total of about 7.5km we reach another bridge, which takes us back to the south side of the canal. Now we turn right again, to return to our starting point after another approx. 2.5km.
