Stage 5. TABERNAS - GÉRGAL

The Tabernas Desert Natural Area is located north of the city of Almeria, between the Filabres and Alhamilla mountain ranges, which isolate it from the humid currents of the nearby Mediterranean Sea.
Gullies, slopes, torrents, and ravines. The route starts in the municipality of Tabernas, the trail begins and coincides with GR-244 and PR-481 for 1400 meters.
Most of the route runs through ravines in the Tabernas desert area, starting downhill to the underpass of the A-92, once past the bridge which can serve as an evacuation route and to split the trail into two stages, begins an uphill section towards Gérgal through ravines with very beautiful spots.
