Stadsbos 013 is a vast forest area on the edge of Tilburg. The creation of this forest is related to the timber production for the textile industry at the end of the 19th century, but also to the pleasure gardens of the textile manufacturers. The great variety of nature now makes Stadsbos013 an attractive walking area.
This walk starts at Tilburg Reeshof station. Here you immediately enter the forest and then come to the Donge valley, a successful nature development.
Then you pass through various estates, each with its own atmosphere and history.
After walking 5 km you reach Villa Vredelust, where you can take a break.
After a short stretch over the Bels line, where there are no more trains but cyclists, you cross the busy Bredase road at a traffic light and dive into the star forest of the Oude Warande.
After crossing the railway, you walk through the Wandelbos: the meeting place for many Tilburg residents. After that, it is only a short distance to Tilburg University station.
