Spöcker Forest Circular Trail

The wonderful hike begins at the “Wirt in der Spöck.” The hiking route leads a few hundred meters across the meadow towards the northwest before the path turns left into the young forest. The circular forest trail passes through all stages of a forest, from young forest to mature forest, at some distance from the so-called “Schneeweisn-Gstockert,” a meadow area in the middle of the Litzinger Forest. After several hundred meters in the young forest, you reach the road towards Frankenburg. Now keep left to reach the Litzing forest road. Along this forest road, continue for several hundred meters south through mature forest before turning left again to follow a path leading to a small bridge. Right after the bridge you can see an ancient “cart or hollow way” on the right, which was probably a connecting path between Neukirchen and Frankenburg centuries ago. Now continue slightly uphill towards the northeast. After crossing several forest paths, first keep left, then turn right in the direction of the “Wirt in der Spöck,” always following the violet marking number 118. Walking time approx. ¾ hour.
