Welcome dear hikers
On foot you will follow just under half a day’s march (11 km) led by the nose of the little rascal. Along the circular route, your eye will be rewarded with panoramic views, greenery, historical sights, and clear vistas.
Dear hiking friends,
we warmly invite you to a circular hike around our over thousand-year-old Fläming town Jüterbog. The “Spitzbubenweg” is the first official hiking trail in Jüterbog. It was created in view of the 112th German Hiking Day 2012 in Fläming and was voted the most popular excursion destination for hikers.
On the approximately three-and-a-half-hour route, you will be led along various field and meadow paths, but also on paved sections through beautiful nature. And, no matter where you find yourself, you will almost always have the landmark of our city - the Nikolaikirche with its uneven towers - in sight.
Of course, you can leave the marked paths at any time and explore our lovingly restored old town. Upon prior arrangement, our local heritage association “Jüterboger Land e.V.” also offers guided hikes.
“Spitzbubenweg” - why this name?
Like every respectable merchant city, Jüterbog did not tolerate rascals and other shady characters inside its city walls. Nothing escaped the trained eye of the city guards. They recognized every rascal from afar by the scars of his disgraceful deeds. Even today, dear hiking friends, you might encounter a rascal on your hike. But rest assured, it is a harmless guide.
