This short and beautiful hike leads us to the Sopotit Waterfall, which cascades down in tiers within a narrow rocky corset. The view over the Vjosa Valley is also worthwhile, as is the experience at the feet of Maja e Dritës: Before the mighty rock walls of the Nëmerçka massif, a person feels like a dwarf.
At the signpost in Strëmbec, 470 m, there is a water tap on a walnut tree. We head up to the village, take the right path at the monument, and at the next fork we keep right again. After 300 m, we ascend the meadows covered with walnut and fig trees, always heading towards the mighty east wall. The trail, which is only a bit unclear at the meadows, forks later: the right lower path takes us past a spring and then back to the upper trail. Leaving the huge maple trees behind us, we soon see the highest peak of the Nëmerçka again (Maja e Papingut or Maja e Dritës, 2485 m). After the meadow with the impressive view, we approach the gravel field along a water pipeline partly covered with large stone slabs; this separates us from the Ujëvara e Sopotit waterfall. The trail in the gravel is very worn; lemon balm, wild mint, oregano, and other herbs smell intensely. To the left of the waterfall, one could still climb steeply in a zigzag over gravel (unmarked, steep, slippery) to reach the basin
