From the road, the first part of the trail is marked. You’ll ascend quickly as you follow the Engelsbekken stream up through the birch woods. Once you are past the treeline, the terrain flattens out and is easy to cross.
Korgtjønna pond is a nice place to take a break and relax. At this point you'll leave the trail and scramble up to the peak from the eastern side, as shown on the map.
From a distance, the last stretch up to Snydda from the east looks narrow, but it is not too difficult or exposed. Soon you’ll be on the top and will reap the benefits of your efforts in the form of a beautiful view over Trollheimen and the Sunndalsfjella mountains.
Alternate Route
On the way back you can descend to the southwest before following the trail east over Stenhøa ridge above Mjølkskåla and Korgtjønna ponds before rejoining the trail you took on the ascent.
Directions
The trail begins by Langoddsætra on the south side of Gjevillvatnet lake. There is a small parking lot there.
