That sounds like a wonderful idea! Hochspeyer offers a beautiful environment for hiking, especially in the forest. The nature there is very charming and invites to extensive hiking.
In Hochspeyer, there are hiking trails marked with so-called QR codes (quick Response = fast reply). You can explore these trails with a smartphone or tablet and thus receive lots of information about cultural, ecological, historical, geological, and scenic features of the Palatinate Forest and the local community of Hochspeyer.
The creation of these hiking trails was a project funded by the European Union and developed and implemented by the Technical University, Department of Physical Geography.
