Small forest route Sanitz

We circle the church clockwise. Beautiful old houses surround the house of worship from the 13th century. Inside the fieldstone building, we discover early Gothic wall paintings. We now follow Fritz-Reuter-Straße to the right and turn right into the street "Hof Sanitz." On the left side of the path, we see a very nice pond complex (1) with benches for resting. We follow the street until it meets John-Brinckmann-Straße. Here we turn right. We walk straight ahead over a railway crossing and a traffic light intersection. The street "Waldweg" leads us out of the village. At the forest edge, on the right, is a farmstead (2) with a beautiful old barn. A sign dates the building to the year 1896. We now walk straight ahead on a sandy path into the magnificent forest. Under suitable weather conditions, mushroom hunters can find a good yield here. At the first intersection, we turn right into the reservoir clearing. At the next fork, we follow a very nice path to the left. At a hunting seat, the path joins another; here we turn right. At the following intersection, we turn left. Soon we reach a small asphalt road, which we follow to the right. We cross the country road and continue straight ahead on a forest path. This leads us to the beautifully situated hamlet Klein Freienholz (3). At the intersection at the edge of the village, we go right. Here a bench (4) with a magnificent view invites us to take a break. At the following fork, we keep left. We meet Ribnitzer Straße, which we follow to the left. At the main street in the village, we go right and then left into John-Brinckmann-Straße. We return to the starting point the way we came.
