Alpengasthof Alter PocherTips and suggestions
Gold panning makes you hungry, so we recommend a stop at the Alpengasthof "Alter Pocher" with Monika Rösler and her team. The building is a witness to the gold rush over many hundreds of years. Between Alter Pocher and Goldgräberdorf ruins, there is a small but fine crystal exhibition with finds from this area.Roadbook
This family-friendly hiking route starts at the Fleißkehre/Goldgräberdorf junction. Mostly along the (lightly trafficked) road, the hike gently ascends to your destination.
If this route is too long for you, you can continue by car from the starting point to the next parking lot - Große Fleißtal junction. From here, it is only about a 45-minute walk to the Goldgräberdorf. If that's still too far, there is another option a few meters further at the next large parking lot. From there, it is a 20-minute walk to the Goldgräberdorf and Alter Pocher.
All return options follow the same path.
