Roadbook
You walk downhill from the Bach monument over the Frauenplan towards the city center. At Johannisplatz, turn right into Kleine Löbergasse, then left into Löbergasse, and arrive at Karlsplatz with the Luther monument. At the bakery "Uncle Karl," climb stairs in a passageway and cross Wartburgallee. You enter the city park at Pflugensberg and walk on serpentine paths uphill to the impressive Villa Eichel-Streiber, which later served, among other things, as the bishop's and administrative seat of the Thuringian State Church. Through the forest, you reach the foot of the monumental Burschenschaft monument on the Göpelskuppe. The Wartburg presents itself on the opposite hill in its most beautiful view! The view of the city from above is also impressive. You descend on the panorama trail and take a path on Böckelstraße to the left, descending in serpentine to the romantic Johannisthal. There you follow the gravel path to the right. At its end, you pass through the gate on the right into the Karthausgarten. The venerable park with a pavilion is worth seeing in every season! At the park exit to Waisenstraße, turn left, cross Wartburgallee into Barfüßerstraße, and turn right into Marienstraße. It leads back to Frauenplan.
There are places to eat at the Burschenschaft monument and in the city of Eisenach.
