The swimmable and equipped Lake Sirio Ring offers a route through forests and hills, passing the Roman Aqueduct and the mysterious "Dancing Lands."
The Sirio Lake Ring is a loop trail of great geological and naturalistic interest, located between Ivrea and Chiaverano, in the picturesque Serra d'Ivrea area. Lake Sirio, of glacial origin, is the only swimmable lake among the Five Lakes and offers equipped beaches that attract many tourists in the summer season. The route winds through forests and hills, providing picturesque views and moments of relaxation in nature. Along the way, two fascinating variants are encountered: one leads to the remains of the Roman Aqueduct, evidence of the Roman presence in the area, while the other leads to the enigmatic "Dancing Lands," a former peat bog with elastic soil that sways under the weight of those who walk on it, creating a surprising effect. The trail is suitable for hikers of all levels, offering a perfect mix of nature, history and relaxation in a unique landscape setting.
