The brown marking remains our companion for the rest of the day. Through a water-rich high valley, it goes to the (only seasonally staffed) hut Spano Pole (in German: “Spinach Field” – we actually found wild spinach). After crossing a brook, be careful not to lose the right path: there are many trail traces parallel to the brook – but the marked path leads upward into the dwarf pines. After another brook crossing, you can hardly go wrong anymore: just follow the path downhill.
