Comfortable route around Neunhof through bright pine forest and over blooming summer meadows. The highlight is the history of the immediate free knight's estate Neunhof and, of course, the beer from the Wiethaler brewery.

Founded over nine hundred years ago, Neunhof became the seat of a high court of the Franconian Schlüsselbergers in 1279. They had received Neunhof and some places in the vicinity from King Rudolf I as war pay for sending Franconian knights into the battle on the Marchfeld against the Bohemian King Ottokar II near Vienna.

We start from the parking lot behind the war memorial in Simonshofen and walk through the forest to Bullach. From there, first above the Hainbüchachbach, which we cross to the left in the valley floor, and then towards Neunhof until we reach Holzgraben Neunhof. After visiting the parish church and possibly the castle, we walk past horse paddocks back to Simonshofen.
