The hike starts at Naturfreundehaus Schneegattern in the Weißenbachtal. After several hundred meters, the path branches off to the left into Siegerertal. Siegerertal was known until the 1930s for its charcoal kilns and the charcoal burner Matthäus Friesenecker.
At the second hunting lodge, the path turns right towards the northeast.
Follow this path up to a hill where you briefly reach the "Friedburgersteig". After a few hundred meters along the ridge, turn right towards Achbachtal. For the first few hundred meters, take an old wooden path reaching the road in Achbachtal. Stick closely to the route here as the trail markings are difficult to spot.
The hike then leads through Achbachtal, which later flows into Weißenbachtal, back to the starting point.
