The hiking trails Great and Little Moorgang, blessed with high-altitude stimulus climate, in a near-natural part of the Allgäu attract those seeking relaxation throughout the year.
We start at the train station in Oy, 909 m, crossing Oymühlenstraße over the tracks. By the old people's home, the sign »Sticher Weiher« points to a farm road. Shortly after the bridge over the B 310, we turn right onto the path marked »Maria Rain – kleiner Moorgang«. The route along the edge of the wooded Oyer Moor coincides with the Schwäbisch-Allgäuer Walking Trail (blue cross). At the fork at the forest edge, the »Guggemoos« sign directs us over a meadow strip. The charming shortcut winds like an endlessly long adder through another patch of moor forest after a footbridge over a stream. From the forest edge, we cross a meadow again and walk on the Bodensee-Königssee cycle path, a seldom-trafficked and gently ascending road with lovely mountain views to Guggemoos, 916 m. In the cozy hamlet, we go left at the chapel and after a fork cross the highway to Stich. Down to Sticher Weiher, we meet again the Augsburg-Sonthofen hiking trail.
