Scenic hiking route around Oy-Mittelberg, past Schwarzenberger Weiher and through the impressive moorland scenery of the Seemoos.
The path leads from the Kurhaus in the district of Oy through forest and fields to Schwarzenberger Weiher, where the lake landscape can be felt on a bronze landscape model. Wonderful views and mountain vistas open up here. Via Unterschwarzenberg, the path leads from the north into the quiet Seemoos with the impressive and often mystical atmosphere of a raised bog. There are also special botanical and zoological features there. The Seemoos has been extensively renaturalized, and some information panels provide details about it. After crossing under the A7 motorway, the hiker then passes through the Oyer Moos and soon reaches the starting point.
Places to eat and drink are available in Oy, in Unterschwarzenberg, as well as in nearby Mittelberg.
Author’s recommendation
The low moor meadows are especially rich in blossoms and colorful in early summer. Later in the year, the autumn colors of the plants are also a feast for the eyes.
