Sedevčič Route

The start of the route is at the community center in Banjšice. We head to the road towards Nova Gorica, where after about 300 m a sign directs us left towards Slemen (800 m). To Kuka, we walk up and down across grassy slopes, cross the Sveto-Krvavec road, ascend gently across a meadow to the forest, then climb up to Zgorelec (876 m). From its summit we head east and first descend to a forest track that leads to the gravel road Banjšice–Lokovec. After less than a kilometer of walking, the marking directs us right into a steep slope on a marked shortcut and after 300 m we reach a forest track that takes us to a smaller wooden hut. We continue on the path across a smaller ridge that leads us to another forest path. On the left behind us is Smrdikovec (899 m). The marking then again directs us right on a forest trail that takes us beneath the foot of Vetrnik (903 m). For the ascent and descent of Vetrnik on the rocks, we will also use our hands. This is followed by a descent through Biškovec and arrival at Podlešče. We continue on the asphalt road to Trušnje, where the church of St. Spirit stands. From here, we first descend through Podgrič to Marcinje, then ascend to Luže. At Lužarji, we cross the Trušnje–Kanalski Vrh road, visit the memorial plaque to Valentin Stanič, pass by a military cemetery from World War I, ascend a winding mule track and arrive at Golek (821 m). From the summit, the markings direct us to the hamlet of Lohke. After about 2 kilometers on the asphalt road, we return to the starting point.
