The Sculpture Path in Rielasingen along the Radolfzeller Aach connects nature and art.

The path is barrier-free and is among the recommendations of the "Walking Routes for Every Age" by the Konstanz District Senior Council.

International artists have expressed the idea of "borders and connections" in 15 modern artworks made of wood, stone, and iron. The initiator of the idea was the Rielasingen artist Marcus Schwarz on the occasion of the 25-year partnership with Nogent-sur-Seine in France.

The pathway, paved with sand and gravel, begins at the bridge on the main street over the Aach. The steel sculpture by Andreas Roos titled "Gate" opens the route. One side of the sculpture symbolizes the German oak leaf, the other the feather of the Gallic rooster, symbolizing France. Along the eastern bank of the Aach up to the next footbridge, there are eight more sculptures. On the way back along the western bank, two artworks follow, "Leaf and Feather" as well as "Christophorus." There is an accompanying brochure with a site map available at the town hall, Lessingstraße 2, or at the Tourist Info (community library), Niedergasse 4, and can also be downloaded from the Rielasingen-Worblingen website.

Including the stretch to the car park on Gartenstraße, the total route length is approximately 2,200 metres. Occasionally, the surface of the Sculpture Path is roughly gravelled, which may be strenuous for users of rollators. Toilets can be found at the inns located in the centre.

The riverside path continues upstream to Singen and beyond. The paths along the Aach are also popular with cyclists.

    Author’s recommendation

Further sculptures can be discovered further downstream along the Aach towards Arlen on the way to the Talwiesenhalle as well as in the town centre of Rielasingen.
