Follow the road, then take meadow trail No. 28 at the edge of the forest to the right (east), later ascending through the forest to the Holzerbauer junction, 680 m. Follow the dirt road, then take the cart path across meadows and through the forest eastward to the road you’ll cross. Follow this road uphill to the left toward the Maurus Chapel (fork) and continue eastward to “Sattelhöhe,” 790 m. Descend on the other side to the Denreithalm and into the Schwarzenbachgraben. On its left side, walk on level ground through the forest to the Schwarzensee, 716 m (restaurants: Alm-Stadl and “Zur Lore”).From the “Zur Lore” inn, take the flat road No. 28 along the lake’s western shore northward to the Bacherlalm, 720 m, then
