Those who stroll eastwards out of Markt Schwaben find themselves in a moorland landscape crisscrossed by many streams and small ditches: the Schwabner Moos with the springs of the Sempt. A beautiful walk leads you diversely and over several excellent hiking trails through this landscape, and even if the kilometer counter remains single-digit on this round, there should still be enough appetite and thirst at the end for a hearty stopover in Markt Schwaben. Also ideal with children!
From Markt Schwaben station we head towards the town center: for example, opposite the station building into the footpath left of the Hotel Georgenhof, following the street eastwards to Bahnhofstraße, crossing it at the traffic light into Trappentreustraße, then immediately right downhill ("Im Angerl"), at the end of the little street left, then right uphill (Landgerichtsgasse) to the heavily trafficked Herzog-Ludwig-Straße, along it to the left to the church and southwards along Ebersberger Straße past the market square to the junction of Grafen-von-Sempt-Straße to the left (on the right the Schweiger Brewery). Now eastwards through Grafen-von-Sempt-Straße to the edge of town and slightly turning right continuing eastwards on the field path into Schwabner Moos. At the third intersection (rest bench) we turn right. The path leads us to the Kressier mill on the Anzinger Sempt. Behind the property we turn left into the street and immediately leave it again to the right onto a hiking

Joachim Burghardt, Jahrgang 1982, ist passionierter Fußgänger.
