The start was at the Schöcklkreuz parking lot and the first meters and altitude meters went along the Mariazeller-Weg. When you leave the path you come across a forest road and shortly after a trail goes off to the left. This is signposted with "to the Stubenberghaus".
This trail is followed until you reach another forest road, which you follow on the left hand side only to shortly afterwards disappear again on a trail in the forest. From here it gets a bit steep.
The last stretch before you reach the plateau is again a bit tough, then it goes flat until you reach the inns at the Schöckl.
