The special feature of this route is the magnificent panoramic views from a plateau over the largest contiguous treeless landscape in the Palatinate Forest.
Starting at the school, passing the recreational facility and the orchard school garden, you reach a plateau with scattered orchards and a magnificent panoramic view over the Wasgau via an enchanted hollow way.
In the area of the "Fuchsloch" the path runs for about 500 meters parallel to the Napoleon Trail and then turns left towards the "Beutelstein". This dreamy viewpoint rock absolutely justifies a detour!
After descending via the so-called Pensioners' Path, a small detour to the natural Rütsch spring is worthwhile. Continuing along the Schlangenberg ditch through a natural valley, past fishponds and sheep pastures, you then reach the starting point of this exceptional route again.
ATTENTION! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
Always behave thoughtfully, friendly and considerately towards everyone you meet on the way.
Respect nature, do not destroy plants and always stay on the paths.
Remember to bring a garbage bag and take your trash home with you.
Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
For your own safety, observe all path closures. Even on weekends.
Park only in designated parking areas. Leave space for emergency routes and agricultural machinery.
Please give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

Landhaus FelsengartenSafety information
Especially in autumn, be aware that leaves lying on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees may still fall or branches fall down afterwards. Particularly in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery passages. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect this kind of path interference when you go hiking. If you believe certain sections of the path are not passable for you, you should avoid them. Despite the "unmissable" markings of the premium hiking trails, for safety reasons we always recommend carrying a corresponding hiking map so that, for example, in case of a thunderstorm or emergency you can quickly find a safe area.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. Nonetheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you encounter closures or detours on site, please follow the instructions for your own safety.
