the starting point is the parking lot by the church in the village of Neukirchen zu St. Christoph, we continue past the cemetery on trail no. 6. After about 1 km we reach the border, where we can notice old border stones. We continue on the blue trail, always following the border posts until we reach the anti-tank barrier from 1938. We continue further. After about 1 km we reach a dusty forest road, continue on it for about 0.2 km until we reach a gazebo. Here we can rest and refill water at the nearby spring "U černé boudy". We keep following the blue hiking trail and continue steeply uphill for 1.5 km. We reach a hiking shelter and continue still on the blue to the Havran summit. Just before the summit, we will have the opportunity to notice the original border barriers from the "Iron Curtain" era. We reach the summit, where we can rest in a modern wire-frame hiking shelter or head to the lookout tower, from where there is a wide view of the Šumava region in good visibility. In the intermediate floor of the lookout tower, we can view panels dedicated to escapes across the border during the "Iron Curtain" period. At the top of the tower, we can use the photo point and take a picture. Then we continue on the green trail always to the northwest. After about 0.6 km, we sharply turn left onto the red trail and continue along the border for another 0.6 km to a crossroads, where we turn right and cross the border into Germany. We continue about 1.5 km along this path to the ruins of Schelenberg castle, passing the rock massif "Brotfelsen" on the way. From the castle, we continue 0.6 km to a crossroads where we follow the hiking trail and continue along a forest road. After about 1.5 km, we leave the forest onto a pasture, cross it, pass by a farmstead, and continue further into the forest. From here, it is about 1 km back to the parking lot.
