Schattenlaganthütte, 1483 m
A special natural spectacle on the pleasant walking path to the Schattenlaganthütte in the Seetal, at the foot of the highest Rätikon mountains, is created by the powerful Kesselfall of the Alvierbach.
At the church in Brand, we follow the signpost »Schattenlaganthütte« and walk on a hiking trail to the Alvier bridge. On the other side, a farm road, from the Aubrücke for a while an access road, leads into the valley. The Schattenlagantweg heads towards the massive Seekopf and begins to climb after a small rockfall. In the area of alpine pastures, a bridge carries us over a mountain stream tumbling down from the Brandner Mittagspitze. Shortly thereafter, the tiny detour to the exuberantly roaring, two-stage natural monument Kesselfall, 1260 m, is worthwhile, which has eroded about 30 meters deep into the main dolomite in just 10,000 years and in the truest sense has scooped out the rock layers. A wooden footbridge spans the tricky shallows. Under the rock band of the Fluarschroffa, distinguished by various colors, such as bright pink hues, we hike over the last meadows by the wild stream uphill. The robust rock faces of the Schesaplan massif rise from an overpowering high mountain
