Safety information
Depending on snow conditions, in winter especially the section between Hagensattel and Gamskogel is tricky; to avoid this, you can also descend directly from Hagensattel via Königsgraben to KleinstübingRoadbook
From Peggau, follow the signs to Deutschfeistritz, alternatively you can also take the train to Deutschfeistritz.
From there, follow the signs again through the town (keeping more to the left).
On well-marked paths, you reach the Schartnerkogel.
From there, follow the ridge heading west, always following the trail traces, until you reach the Hagensattel, then follow the path southeast and later continue on a trail past the Bärenhöhle to the Gamskogel.
From there descend via the marked trail to Stübing until you reach a larger house in the forest. There, do not follow the markings, but instead follow the forest road to the right.
At the next junction, take the right path and follow it downhill. Always follow the forest road, staying right at the forest cut, and you will reach Kleinstübing.
