A leisurely family hike over hill and dale.
For the ascent to the Voralpe Schalb, take the breezy Embd- Schalb adventure cable car. The family-friendly hike begins at Schalb on the high-altitude trail via the Embd Alp Pletschen to Moosalp. Enjoy fauna, flora and a breathtaking panorama. There you can treat yourself to a delicious lunch or a hearty "z'Abund" in one of the two mountain restaurants.

Public transport
Travel in comfort on the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway from Visp to Kalpetran. From there, the journey continues by train to Embd, followed by the breezy adventure train to the Voralpe Schalb.The return journey is just as uncomplicated: From the Moosalpe, a bus takes you comfortably back to Visp.
