The Sayda Painters' Trail offers an interesting comparison between past and present with a remarkable exhibition of paintings in prominent locations in the town and along interesting walking and hiking trails.
The "Sayda Painters' Trail" is a hiking trail in the vicinity of the town of Sayda and its districts and a 2.6 km walk through the town, as a "themed hiking trail", which is also accessible in winter. Wooden easels with reproductions of landscape paintings by Sayda painters of the past and present are set up at exposed points along the trail. The locations are identical to the places from which the artists created their works. The starting point of the hike is the Erzgebirgisches Heimatmuseum "St. Johannis" Sayda. There you will also find further information about the "Sayda Painters' Trail" and a rich collection of original paintings in the museum itself.
