Sattelbergalm 1640 MRoadbook
From the parking lot, either leisurely along the forest road, which is also a sledding run in winter, or directly after the parking lot over a small bridge and following the stream on a cart path and later a trail (sometimes slippery after heavy rain) heading south. On this trail, we also reach the forest road, follow it or stay on a trail along the stream. At a signpost "Niedrererberg" turn right, cross the stream and walk past Niedererberalm into the valley end. Soon after, we reach the junction to the trail that leads us to the ridge (old, faded markings). Extremely scenic, it now goes left along the border fence to the summit of the Sattelberg.
Descent: the well-marked trail leads us eastwards downhill to a forest road, which we follow to the disused ski slope near the visible Sattelalm (refreshments!). The further descent is along the sledding run back to the parking lot.
