East of Santa Eulària, bay follows bay. The hinterland is densely developed for tourism with hotels and apartment buildings. Only Punta Arabí, a steep rocky cape from which the coastline can be widely viewed, appears as originally as ever. But peace and bustle lie very close together here. If you like being among many people, you should plan the tour on a Wednesday between early April and late October, when a huge hippie market is held on the grounds of the Club Punta Arabí just a stone's throw from Punta. Otherwise, we recommend the mostly comfortable coastal hike on another day of the week.
In the center of Santa Eulària, we stroll west along the waterfront promenade from the Rambla (Passeig s’Alamera), lined with terrace cafés, to the large marina. After this, the promenade is left at the Ses Savines Hotel, we pass a fenced sports field and then take a gravel path around a small bay. From there, a rocky path leads up to the peninsula Punta de s’Església Vella covered with juniper bushes. We look back over the town and the fortified church on Puig de Missa. A little further up, from the highest point, a wonderful view of the upcoming tour reveals itself.The path takes us close to the edge of the steeply falling coast down to the bay Es Farallò, framed by a reddish shoreline slope, bounded to the east by Punta des Farallò. From the narrow, pointed land extending far into the sea, the just walked Punta de s’Església Vella proudly shows its steep coast.
